Abstract

Breast milk is the best natural food for babies. Breast milk has many benefits, including providing essential nutrients, protecting babies from infections, and promoting emotional bonds between mother and baby. However, not all mothers can produce enough breast milk to meet the baby's needs. Low breast milk production in the first days after giving birth is caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin as well as a lack of motivation and knowledge of the mother in the breastfeeding process. One effort to increase breast milk production is by providing acupressure techniques and consuming wake-up leaf vegetables. This study aims to determine the effect of acupressure techniques and wake-up vegetables on breast milk production in postpartum mothers. This research uses an analytical design with a quasi-experimental, post test only design. The population was 38 postpartum mothers. The sampling technique used is Purposive Sampling, with the Independent Sample T-Test statistical test. From the results of the Independent Sample T-Test, a sig value of 0.000 was obtained, which means it is smaller than 0.05, which means that there is an influence of the Acupressure Technique and Bangun-Bangun Vegetables on Increasing Breast Milk Production in Postpartum Mothers. It is hoped that health workers can provide education to all postpartum mothers to carry out acupressure techniques and consume wake-up leaf vegetables to increase breast milk production thereby increasing the success of exclusive breastfeeding.
