The global elderly population is estimated to double from 800 million to 1.6 billion between 2015 and 2050. The risk of cardiovascular disease doubles as elderly people age. Physical exercise is recommended for the elderly to reduce blood pressure. The objective is to determine the effect of elderly exercise on the blood pressure of elderly people with hypertension in the Cipanas Community Health Center. Research design with a quasi-experiment without a control. The sample population is all elderly people with hypertension who come to PROLANIS activities. The research sample was 32 elderly hypertensive sufferers using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The intervention is in the form of elderly exercise, which was adopted from the elderly exercise movement by Jasmin (2022). There is an effect of elderly exercise on reducing systolic blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension (p-value 0.000) and reducing diastolic blood pressure in elderly hypertensive sufferers (p-value 0.007). Elderly exercise can be used as a recommendation for physical exercise to lower blood pressure in hypertensive elderly people, which can be done independently. Elderly exercise can be used as an alternative solution in treating hypertension apart from drug therapy.
